Introduction
Our client is a modern, 24/7 veterinary hospital based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, currently seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and client communication.
Working Hours / Rota
The position offers a flexible schedule consisting of 10 shifts within a 4-week period, designed to promote a healthy work/life balance. Candidates residing outside the area are eligible for a travel stipend and scheduling blocks with multiple consecutive shifts. Specific working hours are tailored to suit availability and shift structure.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is suited for an experienced veterinarian focused on urgent care medicine. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating a range of acute conditions, managing outpatient cases, and providing high-quality, efficient care within a well-equipped urgent care setting. The ideal candidate will be confident, communicative, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Practice Details
The 7,500-square-foot facility is just six years old and includes digital radiography with external radiologist review, ultrasound, a Heska in-house lab, oxygen cages, a fully equipped surgical suite with Ligasure, a separate cat ward, an isolation ward, and an on-site pharmacy. The hospital is designed to support a high volume of urgent cases while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Team
The current team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a tenured and experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative, well-structured, and focused on delivering top-tier medical care with strong operational support.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
