An exciting opportunity is available for an Urgent Care Veterinarian in Las Vegas, Nevada, within a modern walk-in clinic designed to bridge the gap between daytime general practice and overnight emergency hospitals. Opened in July 2024, this purpose-built urgent care facility focuses exclusively on same-day care for dogs and cats, providing an accessible, efficient alternative for pets with non-life-threatening conditions. This is an ideal role for veterinarians who enjoy fast-paced medicine, defined case parameters, and the ability to make an immediate impact without the demands of full ER practice.

Working Hours / Rota
The clinic operates seven days a week with a structured afternoon and weekend schedule. From Monday to Friday, shifts run from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, creating a consistent second-shift pattern during the working week. Weekend hours are 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The model is designed around swing and second-shift coverage, offering predictable scheduling with no overnight responsibilities while still maintaining strong work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position focuses solely on urgent care medicine, with no preventative or routine wellness appointments. You will manage common urgent presentations such as wound care, gastrointestinal upset, ear infections, minor trauma, and humane euthanasia, all within single-doctor shifts supported by a skilled technical team. Abdominal surgeries are not performed, allowing you to concentrate on defined urgent procedures and case management. Responsibilities include delivering relationship-based client communication, collaborating closely with technicians and leadership, contributing to a Fear Free and feline-friendly clinical environment, and supporting the development of team members through structured training programs. You will utilize a cloud-based EMR system and modern diagnostics to deliver efficient, high-quality care while ensuring smooth communication with each pet’s primary veterinarian for continuity of care.

Practice Details
The clinic is purpose-built for urgent care efficiency, featuring dog- and cat-specific exam rooms, separate large and small dog spaces, and a private comfort room. Facilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, and a full suite of in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, along with cloud-based medical record systems for seamless documentation and record sharing. Approximately 90% of patients are discharged home, reflecting the focused urgent care model. The hospital is Fear Free designed and feline friendly, with modern enclosures and thoughtful layout to minimize patient stress.

You will work alongside an experienced urgent care team supported by strong technical staff and collaborative clinical leadership. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
