Job Description

Introduction
Our client is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian in Lacey, Washington. This is an opportunity to join an AAHA-accredited emergency facility that has been serving the Olympia area for over 20 years. The hospital is also actively working toward VECCS certification and is recognized for its compassionate, collaborative approach to emergency and urgent veterinary care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Urgent Care Veterinarian schedule typically involves 10 to 12 shifts per month, designed to balance patient care with professional and personal well-being.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage urgent and emergent cases for canine and feline patients, providing comprehensive medical care, diagnostics, and surgical support. The role requires a collaborative approach, with the opportunity to consult with colleagues on challenging cases. The hospital emphasizes mentorship, case discussions, and continuous learning to ensure the highest standards of care.

Practice Details and Team
The facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, delivering high-quality urgent and emergency care within a fully accredited environment. The practice is known for its commitment to collaborative medicine and patient-focused service while working toward VECCS certification.

Team Size
The hospital currently has one full-time emergency veterinarian supported by three technicians and 14 veterinary assistants, creating a strong and highly collaborative team environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
