Our client is a modern, purpose-built veterinary hospital based in Kennesaw, Georgia, currently seeking a Veterinarian to join their team providing dedicated urgent care for dogs and cats. This clinic bridges the gap between general practice and emergency medicine, offering after-hours medical attention for non-life-threatening conditions without the cost or wait of a traditional ER. The hospital focuses exclusively on urgent cases, providing fast, compassionate, and affordable care for patients needing immediate attention outside of normal veterinary hours.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates on an after-hours schedule, open Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on all holidays from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is a full-time position offering flexible scheduling and single-doctor shifts with no overnight requirements. The role is designed for veterinarians seeking a balanced schedule while still practicing high-quality medicine in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide immediate and efficient medical care for dogs and cats presenting with urgent but non-critical conditions. Common cases include wound management, vomiting and diarrhea, ear infections, and end-of-life care. The position involves diagnosing and treating patients, managing urgent cases independently, and working closely with a skilled support team to ensure smooth case flow. This is a strictly urgent care role—there are no wellness visits or abdominal surgeries. The hospital’s patient-centered philosophy emphasizes a Fear Free and Feline Friendly approach, ensuring a calm and compassionate experience for both pets and their owners. The position is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including those seeking mentorship in urgent care medicine.

The hospital is a brand-new, modern facility designed to deliver efficient and effective urgent care services. It is equipped with digital radiography, advanced ultrasound, and a comprehensive in-house IDEXX laboratory for rapid diagnostics. The clinic operates a paperless system with cloud-based electronic medical records for seamless communication and workflow. Additional features include dog and cat-specific exam rooms, Fear Free Casco enclosures, and a private comfort room for sensitive appointments such as euthanasia. The hospital’s streamlined structure allows veterinarians to focus fully on clinical care while being supported by an experienced and capable technical team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
