Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing both general practice and after-hours urgent care services and is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. This AAHA-accredited small animal practice delivers high-quality care across both routine and urgent cases within a supportive and growth-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position with a schedule aligned to urgent care services. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, with urgent care services available Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and weekends from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday are dedicated to urgent care services. The role involves working within these urgent care hours.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage a wide range of urgent and non-routine cases, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, developing treatment plans, and communicating effectively with clients regarding care and outcomes. The role requires collaboration with the wider clinical team and is suited to an experienced veterinarian comfortable handling urgent and complex cases.
Practice Details
This is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital offering both wellness and after-hours urgent care services. The practice provides a comprehensive range of services including annual visits, vaccinations, spay and neuter, surgery, senior wellness, microchipping, puppy and kitten care, dental care, diagnostics, in-house laboratory services, parasite prevention, and end-of-life care. The hospital supports high-level medicine with access to internal specialty consultations and emphasizes a culture of continuous learning and professional development within a well-supported network.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
