Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. This is a position within a small animal hospital providing care for companion animals, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative, well-established environment with a focus on urgent care and high-quality medicine.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage a caseload focused on urgent and acute cases, alongside general medical responsibilities as needed. Clinical duties include diagnostics, treatment planning, surgery, dentistry, and patient management, with an emphasis on delivering timely and effective urgent care. The role involves working closely with a large, collaborative team and contributing to a patient-focused approach to care. Doctor hours include urgent care shifts Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This position is supported by a mentoring-focused environment.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. The facility is approximately 9,000 sq. ft. and is equipped with three surgical suites, two in-house laboratories, endoscopy, two radiology rooms, a dental suite with dental radiograph units, a large pharmacy, and an AKC-approved canine sperm bank storage facility. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound imaging, and advanced diagnostic tools. Services offered include wellness care, medical and surgical services, dental care, reproductive services, urgent care, and in-house diagnostics. The practice emphasizes a patient-focused approach within a positive, collaborative culture, with strong mentorship and support systems in place.

Team
The team consists of 11 DVMs supported by veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service staff, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and mentoring-focused environment that promotes professional growth and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
