Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Indianapolis, IN, hiring a Full-Time or Part-Time Urgent Care Veterinarian to support the expansion of their recently launched urgent care services. This AAHA-accredited small animal practice serves cats and dogs and is located in the vibrant Mass Ave district.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with Urgent Care hours offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The role offers flexible scheduling with the option for a hybrid arrangement—general practice shifts on Thursdays and Fridays, and Urgent Care coverage on weekends. There are no on-call responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position focuses on delivering timely, high-quality care for urgent, non-emergency cases. The ideal candidate will be involved in a diverse caseload and have the opportunity to shape the future of the clinic’s urgent care offerings. Responsibilities include clinical diagnostics, minor surgical procedures, and collaborating with support staff to ensure smooth patient flow. The role is best suited for veterinarians with at least one year of clinical experience, ideally with an interest or background in urgent care.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with six exam rooms, dedicated dental and surgical suites, digital radiography, cold laser therapy, and ultrasound. Renovated in 2024, the facility supports a progressive, community-oriented approach to veterinary care in a walkable, arts-centric neighborhood. The practice culture is highly collaborative, and mentorship and leadership development opportunities are emphasized.

Team
The clinic operates with a team of three DVMs and a skilled, energetic support staff. The environment is collaborative and growth-oriented, offering a strong foundation for veterinarians seeking to expand their clinical skills and professional leadership.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
