Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This modern, full-service small animal practice is focused on providing high-quality care in a welcoming and collaborative environment. The clinic offers a diverse caseload, making it an excellent fit for either experienced veterinarians or new graduates looking for structured mentorship and professional development.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with shorter hours on Wednesday and Friday until 6:00 PM. Saturday hours are from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the hospital is closed on Sundays. The full-time schedule includes weekday shifts and rotating Saturdays, with no after-hours or on-call responsibilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a range of clinical services including wellness care, surgery, diagnostics, and pain management for dogs and cats. There is also the opportunity to participate in behavior consultations and utilize ultrasound in diagnostics. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with a customized mentorship program available for those earlier in their careers.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with updated medical technology and offers services such as surgery, diagnostics, ultrasound, behavioral consultations, and drug-free pain management. The spacious facility includes six exam rooms and a fully outfitted surgical suite. The clinic promotes a culture of collaboration and learning, with strong support for career growth and continuing education.
Team
The team consists of five DVMs supported by a tenured and well-trained staff. The work environment is described as supportive, compassionate, and close-knit, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among doctors and support staff alike.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
