Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice. This role focuses on providing urgent and same-day care to a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, pocket pets, and birds, within a dynamic and collaborative clinical environment that prioritizes high-quality medicine and excellent client service.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is closed on weekends. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, offering a strong work-life balance with no weekend or after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will focus on managing same-day and urgent cases, providing timely diagnostics, treatment, and medical decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, developing treatment plans, communicating clearly with clients, and collaborating closely with the wider clinical team to ensure continuity of care. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of cases, allowing for the development of strong clinical and problem-solving skills. The position is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians, with mentorship available and flexibility to tailor caseload and clinical focus.

Practice Details
The hospital is an AAHA-accredited facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology including an in-house laboratory system, ultrasound, digital radiography, electrocautery, blood transfusion capabilities, and echocardiography. The practice supports both general practice and urgent care services, alongside advanced offerings such as orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, behavioral medicine, and dermatology. The facility is designed to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient care in a progressive and well-resourced setting.

Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a highly skilled and experienced support staff. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and mentorship-focused, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and professional growth within a fast-paced and engaging clinical setting.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
