Our client is a hospital specializing in emergency and urgent care, hiring for an Urgent Care Veterinarian with the opportunity to serve as Lead DVM. With multiple locations in Indiana, the facility is dedicated to delivering immediate, compassionate medical attention for companion animals in critical situations. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while leading a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. This position can be structured as either full or partial day coverage depending on scheduling needs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will handle a wide range of urgent and emergent cases, providing diagnostics, treatment, and surgical care. The role includes leadership responsibilities, with the option to serve as Lead DVM, guiding clinical protocols and mentoring the team. Clinical responsibilities include in-house diagnostics, surgery, managing toxicology cases, and treating conditions such as gastrointestinal illness, urinary issues, respiratory concerns, lameness, and more. The position offers the opportunity to shape urgent care services and uphold high standards of medical care.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house diagnostics and digital X-ray, enabling timely and accurate treatment decisions. Services offered include emergency and urgent care, surgery, last-minute wellness care, hospitalization, euthanasia and after-care, and management of a broad range of acute conditions. The practice emphasizes compassionate, cost-effective care and is rooted in strong community relationships.

Team
The team includes five DVMs working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment focused on high-quality medicine. The practice fosters a supportive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and strong communication among staff.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
