Job Description
Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity for an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join a brand-new urgent care clinic opening in Corvallis, Oregon. The service is designed to deliver emergency-level medicine in an urgent care setting, supporting pets and owners when general practice is closed, while offering veterinarians a sustainable and balanced alternative to traditional ER work.
Working Hours / Rota
The rota focuses on evening and weekend coverage, providing critical care during high-demand hours without overnight shifts. Scheduling is built with predictability in mind, allowing clinicians to deliver high-quality urgent care while maintaining balance and long-term sustainability.
Role Description and Responsibilities
You will manage a varied and engaging urgent care caseload, providing rapid assessment, diagnostics, stabilisation, and treatment for patients requiring immediate attention. The role suits emergency veterinarians stepping away from overnight or high-acuity ER work, experienced general practitioners expanding their clinical scope, or developing veterinarians seeking hands-on urgent care experience in a supportive environment. Strong clinical judgement, adaptability, and clear communication are essential.
Practice Details
The clinic is purpose-built to support urgent care medicine for dogs and cats, with efficient workflows, modern equipment, and clear clinical protocols. A strong network of local specialists provides additional clinical guidance when needed, ensuring high standards of care and confident decision-making across a wide range of urgent presentations.
Team
You will be part of a collaborative, employee-first team culture that values open communication, mutual support, and shared responsibility. Mentorship is available without micromanagement, and collaboration replaces hierarchy, creating an environment where clinicians can grow, contribute, and feel genuinely supported.
