Job Description

Introduction
This modern urgent care hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its growing team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides an intermediate level of care between traditional general practice and emergency medicine, treating patients who require prompt attention without the need for full emergency hospitalisation. This creates a varied and engaging caseload without overnight shifts.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open seven days a week from 10:00am to 8:00pm, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. There are no overnight shifts, allowing veterinarians to practise urgent care medicine while maintaining a more predictable schedule than a traditional 24-hour emergency environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Urgent Care Veterinarian, you’ll assess, diagnose and treat a varied caseload of patients requiring same-day medical attention, managing cases that fall between routine general practice and full emergency care. You’ll have medical autonomy over your cases while working alongside the wider clinical and support team, clearly communicating diagnoses and treatment options to pet owners and contributing to a collaborative approach to patient care. As the hospital continues to establish and grow its urgent care service, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to clinical workflows, team culture and the overall client experience.

The hospital has been developed specifically around an urgent care model, providing accessible treatment for pets whose needs cannot wait for a routine appointment but do not require overnight emergency hospitalisation. The environment is designed around collaborative medicine, strong peer support and clinical autonomy, with a leadership team focused on building a positive and cohesive workplace. Veterinarians also have access to wider mentorship, continuing education and professional development resources.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
