Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing emergency and specialty veterinary care, and they are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Veterinarian primarily based in Dennis, Massachusetts. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants. The role focuses on providing timely, compassionate care for dogs and cats presenting with non-critical urgent conditions.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will manage non-critical urgent cases presenting through the emergency service, providing care from initial presentation through discharge. Cases may include bandage changes, ear infections, non-critical urinary concerns, acute lameness, and similar conditions requiring timely treatment. The veterinarian will be expected to deliver high-quality medicine and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital provides emergency and specialty referral care across services including Emergency Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Diagnostic Imaging, Zoo and Exotics Medicine, Blood Bank services, and End-of-Life Care. The hospital operates across locations in Dennis and Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, with the Buzzards Bay location providing 24/7 emergency care and the Dennis location offering emergency services on a limited-hours basis.
Team
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will work alongside skilled nurses and fellow clinicians within a supportive and collaborative environment. The team is focused on comprehensive, compassionate veterinary medicine, with clinicians working together across emergency and specialty services.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
