Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a modern, full-service veterinary practice in Southern New Hampshire seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. The practice delivers personal, progressive, and comprehensive care to dogs and cats, combining high-quality medicine with a compassionate, client-focused approach.
Working Hours / Rota
Urgent care hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. This is a full-time position, though flexibility exists for candidates who can work a combination of these shifts.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will diagnose and treat a variety of conditions requiring same-day attention, ensuring patients receive prompt and effective care. Duties include providing wellness care, performing surgical and dental procedures, interpreting diagnostics, and delivering compassionate end-of-life care when needed. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with an emphasis on candidates who are comfortable working in an ER or urgent care setting and available for evening hours.
Practice Details
The facility is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental x-ray, and a complete in-house laboratory, enabling rapid diagnostics and treatment. Services include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, end-of-life care, microchipping, nutrition support, pharmacy services, and urgent care. The practice prioritizes efficiency and compassion, ensuring urgent cases are addressed promptly without compromising quality of care.
Team
The practice has two DVMs supported by a highly skilled and tenured support team. The work environment is collaborative, with a strong focus on communication, efficiency, and maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
