Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing general practice and urgent care services and is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their new team in Asheville, North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly opening hospital designed to meet a growing community need, combining urgent care with general practice services.
Working Hours / Rota
This position offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with weekday and weekend urgent care shifts available. There is also the option to incorporate primary care shifts if desired. Hospital opening hours are to be discussed with the practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Urgent Care Veterinarian will focus on delivering high-quality urgent care services, managing a varied and dynamic caseload, and supporting patient care across both urgent and general practice settings where applicable. The role requires an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, providing diagnostics, treatment, and clinical decision-making while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Practice Details
This is a new general practice and urgent care hospital opening in summer 2026, developed to serve the Asheville community. The facility will feature full in-house laboratory capabilities, ultrasound, and digital radiography, supporting comprehensive diagnostics and treatment. The hospital is designed with a family-centered approach and aims to build a strong, supportive team focused on delivering accessible, high-quality care close to home.

The DVMs will be supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
