Job Description

This hospital is a referral center, primary care facility and teaching hospital with 24-hour emergency service. They have a staff of 60 veterinarians with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, zoological medicine and surgery, behavior and rehabilitation/integrative medicine.
They are located in a 42,000 sq ft state of the art facility. The large, 3-level hospital encompasses 9 state-of-the-art surgery suites; including suites dedicated to neurology, orthopedic and minimally invasive surgery. The hospital has 19 examination rooms, 2 medical procedure rooms, MRI, CT, a medical oncology suite (including their bone marrow transplant center), a radiation oncology suite housing a linear accelerator capable of IMRT, and a large physical therapy/rehabilitation center.
Passion to teach is a must. This hospital is a teaching hospital with 13 interns and 7 residents and it is committed to outstanding service and education. The candidate will take an active role in clinical and didactic teaching of professional students, residents, and interns, as well as continuing education for their local veterinary community. Opportunity for participation in clinically relevant research projects is available.
