Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a father-son duo that partners with entrepreneurial veterinarians to acquire and operate practices for long-term success. Their mission is to help veterinarians achieve ownership while keeping practices independent. If you are looking to step out of an employed role and into a true partnership/co-ownership position, this is a rare opportunity. Backed by personal family capital and over 40 years of veterinary ownership experience, they provide a genuine alternative to corporate groups and private equity-backed organisations. Unlike traditional routes to ownership, you’ll benefit from significant financial backing, requiring minimal personal capital, while gaining access to operational, clinical, and strategic support to help you succeed long term.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital will operate as a full-service facility with routine general practice hours. Scheduling will be a collaborative discussion between you and your co-owners, ensuring it meets the needs of the local community while supporting an excellent work/life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Partner Veterinarian and Co-Owner, you will lead your hospital as Medical Director, maintaining clinical autonomy while shaping the direction of the practice.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care
• Leading and developing a positive, high-performing team culture
• Mentoring veterinarians and support staff
• Overseeing client experience and clinical standards
• Collaborating with your partners on key business functions including accounting, marketing, and recruitment. Alongside your clinical leadership, you can play a key role in the business, supported by experienced partners who provide hands-on guidance in areas such as operations, finance, and growth strategy, allowing you to focus on both patient care and long-term success.

Practice Details
This purpose-built small animal hospital is less than 10 years old, features four exam rooms and a dedicated surgery suite, and is fully equipped with digital x-ray, an in-house pharmacy and laboratory, and an oxygen cage. The practice currently provides a comprehensive range of services, including routine wellness and medical care, dentistry, surgery, and therapeutic laser treatments.
With minimal local competition, the practice is in an ideal position to transition into a multi-doctor practice, or to develop into an emergency facility for those that wish, which provides the ability to potentially double its current gross revenue with minimal effort. There is also the ability to incorporate boarding and day care services as a further avenue for growth.
This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of up to 49% of an established hospital with minimal upfront capital and limited financial risk. The model is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for tailored capital contributions, including the option for full funding with structured repayment. By stepping into an existing practice, you can avoid the risks associated with a de novo startup, while benefiting from the support of partners with over 40 years of ownership experience, helping ensure the practice remains independent and locally led.

Team
The current team consists of 1.5 DVMs with 9 support staff, creating a well-supported working environment. You will continue to build and shape your team who align with your vision, culture, and values.
