Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead the clinical team while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will serve as the clinical leader of the hospital, combining hands-on veterinary medicine with leadership responsibilities. The role includes overseeing medical quality, mentoring and supporting the veterinary team, managing client relationships, and partnering with the Regional Manager on the financial performance of the practice. Clinical responsibilities include providing wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counselling, and emergency care. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is ready to lead a collaborative team while delivering outstanding patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00am to 7:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday by appointment only, and is closed on Sundays. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counselling, and emergency services. The practice offers a collaborative environment where high-quality medicine, strong client relationships, and exceptional patient care are the foundation of daily practice.

Team
You will lead a team of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The hospital promotes a collaborative culture where mentorship, teamwork, and professional development are encouraged, creating an environment where both the clinical team and patients can thrive.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
