Job Description

Introduction
This AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Portland, Oregon is offering a rare ownership opportunity for a veterinarian ready to lead an established hospital while building long-term equity. Serving the local community since 1985, the practice has developed a loyal client base, an experienced team, and a strong reputation for compassionate, high-quality medicine. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As the owner and clinical leader, you’ll oversee the medical direction of the hospital while continuing to provide exceptional veterinary care. You’ll perform preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine, mentor and support the clinical team, guide hospital culture, and help shape the future of the practice. You’ll have the autonomy to make clinical decisions while working alongside an experienced team committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

Practice Details
This established AAHA-accredited hospital provides comprehensive small animal medical and surgical services within a modern, well-equipped facility. Rather than building a practice from the ground up, you’ll step into an established business with experienced staff, loyal clients, proven systems, and the opportunity to build meaningful equity. The ownership model combines clinical independence with operational support, allowing you to focus on medicine, leadership, and long-term growth.

Team
You’ll lead an experienced veterinary team supported by skilled technicians and client service professionals who have helped establish the hospital’s reputation within the local community. The practice values collaboration, continuity of care, and maintaining a positive culture where both patients and team members thrive.
