Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an innovative and expanding veterinary group co-owned by two experienced DVMs, seeking a motivated Veterinarian to become a Partner and Co-Owner in a new hospital location. This unique opportunity allows the incoming veterinarian to own one-third of the hospital, with the remaining ownership held by the founding partners. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent medical and surgical skills, and a keen interest in the business side of veterinary medicine. This position is perfect for a veterinarian who aspires to practice ownership but values guidance, mentorship, and structured support throughout the process.

Working Hours / Rota
Specific working hours will be determined collaboratively as part of the hospital’s setup and launch. Flexibility will be available to create a schedule that balances high-quality patient care with a sustainable work-life routine once the practice is operational.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Partner Veterinarian will lead the clinical operations of the new hospital, providing high-quality medical and surgical care to patients while developing strong client relationships. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day practice activities, ensuring medical standards are met, mentoring team members, and contributing to the hospital’s strategic growth. This role requires a veterinarian who is not only confident in their clinical expertise but also eager to learn the business and management aspects of veterinary practice ownership.

Practice Details
The veterinary group provides comprehensive support throughout the process of establishing the new hospital. Assistance includes securing a suitable location and financing, coordinating the facility build-out, procuring equipment, and providing initial capital investment. Additional ongoing support will cover HR services, inventory management, practice software setup and maintenance, and bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll management. The group also helps negotiate competitive vendor contracts and provides ongoing mentorship in both clinical and business operations.

Team
The new Partner Veterinarian will collaborate closely with the founding DVMs, who provide mentorship and business guidance, as well as support in team development and practice management. As the hospital grows, the partner will have full involvement in building a cohesive, high-performing team that shares the same vision for delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
