Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Partner Veterinarian to take on a leadership role as Medical Director and equity owner in a brand-new urgent care facility based in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to become a practice owner with no out-of-pocket investment, shaping the culture and clinical direction of a facility built around their vision.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Partner Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality urgent care services while also leading the hospital as its Medical Director. Responsibilities include clinical oversight, team development, and setting the medical standards and culture of the practice. The role offers full medical autonomy and is best suited for an experienced veterinarian with at least three years in practice, a strong interest in leadership, and the desire to shape their own hospital. Candidates must hold an active veterinary license, DEA license, and (or be willing to obtain) USDA accreditation.

Practice Details
The facility will be newly built and fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology and medical equipment tailored to the partner veterinarian’s needs. The practice will operate under a progressive urgent care model, providing high-quality medicine with business and operational support provided externally. Caseload will be urgent care focused, offering a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment without the demands of emergency or overnight care.

As the founding veterinarian and Medical Director, the Partner Veterinarian will lead the hiring and development of their own team, supported by a network of mentors and business professionals. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
