Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Medical Director to join their team. Established in 1989, this full-service hospital provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to combine clinical practice with leadership in a supportive and well-established environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities, balancing both clinical leadership and hands-on veterinary medicine. The Medical Director will oversee the medical standards and day-to-day clinical direction of the hospital while mentoring and supporting the veterinary team, fostering a collaborative culture, and helping to drive the continued success of the practice. Alongside these leadership duties, you will continue to provide the full scope of companion animal GP services, including consultations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, treatment planning, and client communication. The ratio of responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the hospital, but on average the role is expected to consist of approximately one-third leadership duties and two-thirds practicing as a veterinarian. Flexible scheduling is available to support a healthy work-life balance. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian with a minimum of five years of clinical experience, strong medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills across companion animal practice. Previous leadership or management experience is preferred.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, with walk-in appointments available on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice provides the full scope of GP services alongside urgent care, allowing clinicians to manage a varied and rewarding companion animal caseload. The hospital is a well-equipped practice with the resources needed to confidently deliver high-quality medical and surgical care. A Fear Free Certified veterinarian is part of the team, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to creating a low-stress experience for patients while maintaining exceptional clinical standards. In addition to comprehensive veterinary care, the practice also offers cat and dog boarding, providing clients with a convenient range of services under one roof.

Team
You will be joining a team of 2 DVMs, supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
