Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director to lead its veterinary team while continuing to provide high-quality clinical care for Cats and Dogs. Proudly serving the community and surrounding areas since 1952, this well-established practice has built a longstanding reputation for delivering compassionate veterinary medicine and fostering strong relationships with generations of pet owners. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership position where they can influence clinical standards, mentor colleagues, and help guide the continued success of a respected community hospital.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will be responsible for the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities, balancing hands-on clinical practice with leadership and team development. You will play a key role in maintaining high medical standards, supporting and mentoring fellow veterinarians, and helping to cultivate a positive and collaborative hospital culture. Working closely with the wider hospital team, you will contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the practice while ensuring exceptional patient care and client service remain at the forefront of daily operations. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys leadership, clinical excellence, and helping others develop professionally. Specific scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and offers boarding services on Sundays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. As a long-standing community practice, the hospital provides the full scope of general practice veterinary services for Cats and Dogs within a welcoming and well-supported clinical environment. The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic technology including, but not limited to, digital dental X-ray, digital X-ray, and ultrasound, allowing clinicians to efficiently diagnose and manage a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. Facilities include an in-house pharmacy, providing convenient access to medications and supporting continuity of patient care. In addition to its veterinary services, the hospital also offers pet boarding services, further strengthening its role as a trusted resource within the local community.

Team
The veterinary team consists of 2 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. Together, the team works cohesively to provide the highest level of client and patient care. The collaborative environment encourages mentorship, teamwork, and professional development, creating a supportive workplace where veterinarians can continue to build their clinical expertise while working alongside experienced colleagues. The culture promotes excellence, accountability, and continuous development, ensuring both team members and patients receive the highest standard of care while fostering an environment where veterinary professionals can thrive and grow throughout their careers. As Medical Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop this team while helping shape the future of a hospital that has been serving its community for more than seven decades.
