Introduction
Our client is a long-standing small animal hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their dedicated team just northwest of Boston. This well-established practice is home to a loyal client base and provides care for dogs, cats, and aquatics. The position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian with leadership skills who is looking to practice high-quality medicine while shaping the future of the hospital.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The hospital is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with no after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide both clinical and leadership responsibilities. Duties include offering high-quality medical care, mentoring associate veterinarians and support staff, and fostering a collaborative, mentorship-driven culture. Additional responsibilities involve supporting team development, leading ongoing improvement initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care. This role is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital operates from a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility and offers a wide range of services, including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, ultrasound, laboratory testing, and x-ray. In-house diagnostics also include ultrasound, digital radiography, and dental radiography. The hospital actively pursues Fear Free certification and emphasizes continuous staff development and education. The culture is team-focused with a strong emphasis on mentorship, case collaboration, and professional growth.

Team
The hospital currently has two DVMs supported by a strong, skilled support team. The environment is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and dedicated to providing exceptional client service and patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
