Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role within an AAHA-accredited practice known for delivering high-quality small animal medicine and surgery.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Medical Director, you will lead both the clinical and cultural direction of the hospital while continuing to practice high-quality veterinary medicine. Your responsibilities will include overseeing patient care standards, mentoring and supporting veterinarians and support staff, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. You will be responsible for diagnostics, treatment planning, wellness and preventative care, advanced medical cases, and surgical procedures, while also guiding clinical protocols and ensuring consistent standards of care. Building strong client relationships, supporting team development, and contributing to overall hospital performance are key aspects of this role. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian with a passion for leadership and clinical excellence.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital is committed to maintaining the highest standards across all aspects of veterinary care, including surgery, diagnostics, and patient treatment. Services offered include wellness and preventative care, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, and surgical procedures. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The practice emphasizes a supportive, growth-focused culture with access to internal specialty consultation services and robust educational resources, allowing veterinarians to deliver advanced care and continue developing their skills.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment focused on high-quality patient care and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
