Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital sees cats and dogs and is seeking an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership-focused role within a well-established general practice environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will be responsible for the full scope of general practice responsibilities alongside leadership duties within the hospital. The role includes providing high-quality medical care across wellness, diagnostics, and treatment while supporting the clinical team and helping guide hospital standards and patient care. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and the position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital offers a full scope of GP services and is AAHA accredited. The practice is well equipped with digital x-ray, digital dental equipment, in-house laboratories, laser therapy, and more to support a high standard of patient care. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 9am–6pm, Saturday from 8am–1pm, and is closed on Sundays.

The hospital currently has 2 DVMs supported by a great team of tenured support staff, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
