Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian. The hospital provides veterinary care for cats and dogs and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to lead the clinical team while partnering in the ownership and future growth of an established companion animal practice. This is an excellent opportunity to combine hands-on veterinary medicine with leadership and long-term practice development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care while establishing and maintaining high clinical standards throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include overseeing medical quality, developing and implementing clinical protocols, leading case flow and clinical decision-making, ensuring exceptional patient care and client communication, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also includes mentoring associate veterinarians, supporting the recruitment and onboarding of veterinary and support staff, contributing to operational planning and scheduling, fostering a collaborative team culture, and working alongside leadership to support financial performance, practice growth, and community engagement. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with an interest in leadership and practice ownership.

Practice Details
The hospital provides comprehensive companion animal care for cats and dogs with a focus on high-quality general practice medicine. Services include preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The successful candidate will lead and support the veterinary and support teams, creating a collaborative, team-first culture focused on high clinical standards, mentorship, and professional development. Working closely with the wider leadership team, the Lead Veterinarian will play a key role in building an engaged, high-performing practice while delivering outstanding patient and client care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
