Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring a Medical Director to join a modern small animal practice providing care to dogs and cats. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead the clinical team while delivering high-quality medicine in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a combination of leadership and clinical responsibilities, including overseeing medical quality, guiding the veterinary team, and supporting the overall direction of the hospital. Clinical duties include wellness exams, preventative care, internal medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, and both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with team members, supporting efficient workflows, and maintaining high standards of patient care. This is a full-time position suited to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
Our client is a modern hospital equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology and hands-free radiology systems, as well as separate dental and surgical suites. Additional facilities include grooming and boarding services. The practice offers a broad range of services including advanced dental care, bone and joint surgery, dermatology, orthopedic surgery, reproductive services, ultrasound, preventative care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, general surgery, internal medicine, intensive care, and urology. The hospital operates with a balanced caseload of approximately 70% wellness and 30% sick visits and emphasizes efficient workflows with strong technical support. Hospital opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am–4:00 pm, and Sunday closed.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, with structured support including one technician or assistant per doctor for appointments and additional treatment technicians. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and focused on teamwork and delivering high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
