Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their veterinary team. This role involves working with dogs, cats, pocket pets, and small mammals in a well-established clinic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality medicine while supporting and developing the clinical team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director position involves providing clinical leadership, mentoring veterinarians, and fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Responsibilities include overseeing medical standards, delivering patient care across wellness and illness cases, performing procedures such as spay and neuter, and supporting diagnostic and preventive care services. The role also includes contributing to team development through teaching and knowledge sharing. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and an interest in guiding a growing team.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Wednesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Services offered include wellness and sickness exams, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, spay and neuter procedures, diagnostic testing including blood, urine, and fecal testing, preventative dental care, end-of-life care, and routine services such as nail trims. The hospital provides care within a close-knit, community-focused environment that emphasizes high-quality medicine and strong client relationships.
Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a tenured support staff, creating a close-knit and collaborative environment with a strong sense of teamwork and long-standing team members.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
