Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Medical Lead Veterinarian within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides high-quality care to dogs and cats, with the opportunity to also see exotics if desired. This is a leadership-focused clinical role suited to an experienced veterinarian who is looking to guide medical standards while remaining hands-on in a well-established, community-trusted environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Lead Veterinarian will provide high-quality care across general practice, including wellness exams, preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, pain management, and urgent care presentations. The role involves independently managing a wide range of cases, communicating clearly with clients, and delivering consistent clinical excellence. In addition to clinical duties, the Medical Lead will guide medical protocols, support clinical decision-making, and act as a resource for complex cases while partnering with leadership to improve workflows and patient outcomes. This is primarily a clinical role with leadership responsibilities, and is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and is closed on Sundays. The facility is well-equipped with multiple exam rooms, treatment and diagnostic areas, surgical and dental capabilities, in-house diagnostics, radiology, and laser therapy. The practice holds AAHA accreditation and provides a wide range of services including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, pain management, urgent care, and exotics care. Additional support includes access to specialty services such as cardiology, orthopedics, and radiology, along with internal consultations and educational resources. The hospital operates from a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.

Team
The team consists of 5 veterinarians supported by an experienced and collaborative technical and support staff. The environment is team-oriented and supportive, with a strong focus on collaboration, mentorship, and maintaining high clinical standards across the hospital.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
