Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs and cats and is seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to lead a growing hospital as it expands from an urgent care model into a combined urgent care and general practice. Working alongside the Hospital Administrator and leadership team, the successful candidate will help shape the hospital’s future while fostering a collaborative culture and maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and medical oversight while maintaining an active caseload. Responsibilities include partnering with the Hospital Administrator and leadership team to develop strategies, implement improvements, support staff development, and maintain high standards of patient and client care. The role will involve leading the hospital through its transition to a combined urgent care and general practice model while delivering high-quality preventative medicine, wellness care, diagnostics, and treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills and a passion for developing teams while helping shape the future of a growing hospital.

Practice Details
This state-of-the-art hospital provides urgent care and primary care services for dogs and cats throughout Turnersville, Williamstown, Pennsville Township, and the surrounding communities. The hospital offers extended-hour, walk-in outpatient care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries while expanding its services to include wellness examinations, vaccinations, preventative care, and ongoing healthcare. Conditions commonly treated include vomiting, limping, fatigue, ear infections, itching, lumps, and other non-life-threatening ailments. Diagnostic services include laboratory testing of blood, urine, and faecal samples, as well as diagnostic imaging including X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound. Preventative services include vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm prevention, and wellness examinations. The hospital operates seven days a week from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The hospital is supported by a team of 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The collaborative environment is rooted in urgent care medicine and focuses on teamwork, mentorship, and supporting continued clinical excellence as the hospital expands into a combined urgent care and general practice model.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
