Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a well-established, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice providing progressive, full-service care. They are hiring a Medical Director to lead their clinical team and ensure the delivery of advanced, compassionate care to a wide range of patients, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and exotics.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Tuesday 8 a.m.–8 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m.–8 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Doctor hours are Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts. This position is full-time.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee clinical operations and provide general practice responsibilities across multiple species. Daily duties include leading the veterinary team, mentoring veterinarians and support staff, ensuring the highest standards of progressive, compassionate care, and implementing best practices to enhance patient outcomes. The role also includes fostering professional growth, promoting a collaborative environment, and supporting leadership development across the team. This position is open to experienced veterinarians seeking a leadership role with opportunities to shape the practice’s clinical vision.

Practice Details
The practice is a full-service facility capable of caring for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and exotics. It is AAHA-accredited and offers comprehensive veterinary care with a focus on progressive medicine, compassionate treatment, and exceptional client care.

Team
The clinical team currently consists of three DVMs and a supportive, collaborative support staff team, providing a positive environment for mentorship and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
