Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary practice seeking a full-time Veterinarian and Medical Director to lead their small animal hospital. The clinic provides primary care for cats, dogs, and pocket pets and is hiring for a leadership role focused on driving clinical excellence, guiding team development, and shaping the hospital’s long-term vision.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a full-time position with no weekend hours required.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role oversees daily medical operations while supporting the growth and development of the clinical team. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, supporting wellness medicine, and partnering with the practice manager and leadership team to implement improvements and maintain standards. The position offers leadership guidance and access to additional medical development resources. It is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The practice provides primary care services for small animals and pocket pets and maintains a collaborative, supportive culture. It partners with local shelters and the humane society, offering opportunities for community impact. Guidance and resources are available through a Medical Initiatives Committee to support continued professional growth.

Team
The hospital is staffed by two DVMs and a highly supportive and collaborative team.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
