Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their small animal hospital. The clinic provides primary care services for cats, dogs, and pocket pets and is looking for a strong clinical leader to drive standards of care, support team development, and shape the ongoing growth and direction of the hospital.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. This is a full-time position with no weekend requirements, offering a consistent schedule that supports a strong work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will play a key role in overseeing daily medical operations while continuing to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include supporting wellness medicine, mentoring and developing the clinical team, and partnering closely with the practice manager and leadership team to implement improvements and uphold clinical standards. The role focuses on fostering a positive and collaborative culture, guiding hospital performance, and ensuring excellence in both patient and client care. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians with a passion for leadership and clinical quality.

The practice is a small animal hospital providing primary care services for cats, dogs, and pocket pets. Team
The hospital is staffed by two DVMs supported by a highly collaborative and supportive team, creating an environment where teamwork, mentorship, and shared commitment to high-quality care are central to daily practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
