Our client is a hospital in Torrance, CA, seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to lead their veterinary team. This full-service hospital provides comprehensive medical services for cats and dogs in Torrance and Carson and has built a reputation over the years for delivering high-quality, compassionate, and professional veterinary care. The role is ideal for a veterinarian passionate about leadership, exceptional medicine, and client service.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Wednesdays. This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule of three to four days per week, offering work-life balance while maintaining leadership and clinical responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Medical Director with strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing outstanding veterinary care. The role involves overseeing medical operations, mentoring associate veterinarians, and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Daily responsibilities include providing preventive and routine care, dentistry, internal medicine, geriatric care, surgery, and emergency services. The Medical Director will also ensure exceptional communication with clients, uphold the highest standards of care, and support the hospital in continuing to provide quality services at a fair price.

Practice Details
The hospital is a recently refreshed, spacious facility equipped to offer a wide range of veterinary services. These include wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, internal medicine, puppy and kitten care, geriatric services, and emergency care. With advanced diagnostics such as digital radiography, ultrasound, ECG, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory, the hospital is able to provide quick and accurate diagnoses to support patient health.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
