Our client is a small animal and exotic veterinary hospital that is hiring for a full-time Medical Director. The hospital sees cats, dogs, exotics, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, and ferrets and has built an outstanding reputation within the community, reflected in its excellent 4.9-star Google rating. The practice offers a collaborative and patient-focused clinical environment dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary care across both companion animal and exotic species.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of Medical Director responsibilities within a collaborative and supportive hospital environment. The successful candidate will oversee clinical standards, support and mentor the veterinary team, and contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice while delivering high-quality patient care across a varied caseload. Specific doctor hours will be discussed. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership role within a progressive practice that offers mentorship designed to help elevate and further develop clinical and leadership skills.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and is closed on Sundays. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, digital X-ray and dental digital X-ray technology, supporting efficient diagnostics and patient care across both companion animal and exotic cases. The hospital holds AAHA accreditation, reflecting its commitment to maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine and patient care. Services offered include orthopedics, urgent care, and a full scope of general practice services. In addition, the hospital also provides pet acupuncture, pet behavioral therapy, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, supporting a comprehensive and integrative approach to veterinary care.

Team
The practice is home to a team of four veterinarians supported by 12 support staff members within a collaborative and highly structured clinical environment. The hospital maintains a minimum 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, ensuring veterinarians are well supported in delivering high-quality patient care. The collaborative culture across the hospital encourages teamwork, communication, and shared clinical excellence, creating an environment focused on providing seamless and compassionate care to both patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
