Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead a modern, health-and-wellness–focused veterinary practice. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who aligns with a mission dedicated to improving the lives of pets, pet parents and veterinary teams. The hospital operates within a large, purpose-driven network committed to delivering high-quality care, fostering inclusive culture, and supporting professional growth.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open on Wednesdays from 9:00am to 8:00pm, Fridays from 9:00am to 9:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am to 8:00pm, Sundays from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00am to 8:00pm.This is a full-time role.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will ensure the highest standards of patient care and client experience while leading a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive hospital culture. Responsibilities include overseeing clinical quality, practicing autonomous medicine, performing routine, diagnostic and complex procedures, and reviewing hospital P&L in partnership with field leadership to support performance and efficiency. This role requires an experienced veterinarian who can model empathy, build strong client relationships, and foster the continuous clinical growth of the team through mentorship and leadership.

Practice Details
The hospital operates within a purpose-driven health and wellness organization that prioritizes what is best for pets, people and the planet. The practice utilizes advanced technology including cloud-based practice management software, digital and dental radiography, Idexx systems, Butterfly iQ+ handheld ultrasound, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, VMED Vet-Dop2 blood pressure monitoring, and VETSCAN IMAGYST. Services include vaccinations, routine wellness, flea, tick and heartworm care, illness and injury treatment, imaging, surgery, dentistry and prescription medication management. The culture centers on professional development with paid continuing education, leadership training and a strong support structure.

Team
The Medical Director is supported by local medical directors and a team of licensed and trained veterinary technicians and assistants, contributing to a respectful, collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
