Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal and exotic patients and is seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian to join their team in Massachusetts. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with a strong surgical background or special interest in surgery who is looking to combine clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will serve as the medical leader of the hospital while maintaining an active clinical caseload. Responsibilities include promoting excellence in patient care, client communication, and medical standards, while partnering with hospital leadership on operational and strategic initiatives. The role involves supporting quality improvement efforts, advancing medical protocols, mentoring team members, and fostering a positive hospital culture. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, exotic animal medicine, spay and neuter procedures, urgent care, emergency medicine, emergency surgery, diagnostics, treatment and hospitalization, and end-of-life services. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians, with particular interest given to candidates who have a strong surgical background or a special interest in surgery.

Practice Details
The hospital has been serving the communities of southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island since 2005 and is dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care for small animal and exotic patients. Services offered include primary care, wellness examinations, vaccinations, dentistry, exotic pet veterinary care, spay and neuter procedures, urgent care, emergency care, emergency surgery, echocardiograms, testing and diagnostics, ultrasounds, radiology, treatment and hospitalization, overnight stays, and end-of-life services. The practice is supported by a collaborative network of emergency, specialty, and primary care professionals while maintaining its local culture and identity. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
