This brand-new small animal hospital in Asante, Arizona is hiring for a Lead Veterinarian to help launch and shape its clinical culture from day one. As one of the founding doctors, you’ll play a key role in establishing medical standards, mentoring future associates, and building a collaborative team while delivering exceptional patient care. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will divide their time between clinical practice and leadership responsibilities, spending approximately 85% of their time providing high-quality medical care and 15% leading the veterinary team. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, treatment planning, and client communication. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring Associate Veterinarians, supporting onboarding, promoting medical excellence, developing clinical protocols, collaborating on recruitment, and partnering closely with the Hospital Operations Manager to create a positive, high-performing hospital culture. The role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking to combine hands-on medicine with meaningful leadership.

This newly opening hospital has been designed to support high-quality companion animal medicine with modern facilities, advanced diagnostics, and contemporary equipment that allows veterinarians to practise progressive medicine with a high degree of clinical autonomy. The hospital is built around collaborative support teams that enable doctors to focus on patient care while maintaining an exceptional client experience. As a founding team member, the Lead Veterinarian will have the opportunity to influence hospital culture, clinical standards, workflows, and future growth from the very beginning.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
