Our client is a hospital hiring a full-time Medical Director to lead a diverse companion animal practice caring for avians, cats, dogs, pocket pets, rabbits, reptiles, and ZooMED species. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking a leadership role within a collaborative, well-supported environment that combines advanced medicine, mentorship, and a varied caseload.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead and mentor the veterinary and support staff while maintaining high standards of medical care and client service. Responsibilities include overseeing a broad range of cases involving wellness care, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, rehabilitation, pain management, and advanced diagnostics. The role includes working collaboratively with the doctor team on shared case planning, supporting team development, and ensuring efficient hospital operations while continuing to provide hands-on clinical care. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians with leadership skills and a passion for collaborative medicine.

Practice Details
This full-service companion animal hospital offers a broad range of medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services supported by advanced technology and modern facilities. The hospital features on-site rehabilitation services with a fully built rehab facility focused on advanced pain management and post-operative care. Equipment and services include digital radiology, ultrasound, EKG, endoscopy, laser surgery, orthopedic surgery, cold laser therapy, tonopen, OFA X-rays, stem cell therapy, acupuncture, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, in-office surgical suites, and advanced anesthesia monitoring. The practice also provides wellness care, dentistry, emergency care, internal medicine, hospitalization, pain management, hospice care, soft tissue surgery, and rehabilitation services. The hospital promotes a collaborative culture with strong technician support, shared case planning, and mentorship opportunities. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and closed Sunday.

The hospital currently has 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with strong technician support and a focus on mentorship, shared case management, and professional growth.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
