Introduction
Our client is a clinic seeking a Lead Veterinarian to serve as the medical leader of their multi-doctor practice. This progressive small animal clinic provides comprehensive care primarily to cats and dogs, with opportunities to expand into additional species of interest. The role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian with strong leadership skills or a doctor aspiring to step into a leadership position with mentorship and support.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 7:30am to 3:00pm, and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will oversee the delivery of high-quality medical care while collaborating closely with the clinical and leadership teams to support overall practice success. Responsibilities include managing a varied caseload of appointments and surgeries, overseeing medical standards, serving as veterinarian of record for required permits and licenses, assisting with staffing and scheduling, and fostering strong relationships within the hospital and community. The role involves mentoring support staff through internal training programs and partnering with hospital leadership to ensure medical quality and operational effectiveness. This position is open to experienced veterinarians, including those seeking to grow into a leadership role.

Practice Details
This thriving multi-doctor clinic combines advanced technology with compassionate care. Equipment includes digital dental radiology, digital X-rays, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, and precision bladeless laser surgery. Services include general medical care, diagnostics and laboratory testing, emergency pet services, end-of-life care, pain management, surgery and anesthesia, wound care, preventative care, behavioral medicine, dental care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, parasite prevention and control, spay and neuter procedures, vaccinations, wellness exams, wellness testing, and laser therapy. The clinic emphasizes progressive medicine, advanced surgical techniques, and a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Team
The practice currently has 2 DVMs and a fantastic support team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment committed to mentorship and high-quality patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
