Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for cats and dogs and is currently hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian. This is a full-time leadership opportunity suited to an experienced clinician who is excited to balance hands-on general practice with guiding and supporting a veterinary team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, with Saturday hours from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. This is a full-time position, with doctor hours open to discussion. The caseload includes a diverse range of general practice cases alongside walk-in emergency situations.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice clinical responsibilities combined with leadership duties as Medical Director. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality medical care while leading clinical standards and supporting the veterinary team. This position is intended for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital offers a full scope of general practice services and is equipped with the latest veterinary technology, including digital radiography and ultrasound. The practice is AAHA accredited and committed to using fear-free techniques in its approach to patient care.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a strong and capable support staff. The working environment is designed to allow veterinarians to focus on providing excellent care with the backing of a reliable and well-supported team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
