Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital in Spring Hill, Florida, seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to join the team on a full-time basis. The hospital provides high-quality medicine and surgery for dogs and cats, with a strong focus on exceptional patient care, client education, and transparent service recommendations. The Medical Director will have the opportunity to practice medicine while leading the hospital’s clinical direction and medical quality.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will combine clinical practice with responsibility for establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys leadership, collaboration, teaching, and developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues. The role involves providing high-quality small animal medicine and surgery while working with the wider team to maintain exceptional standards of patient care. Support is provided across Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll, and other areas, alongside access to a local network of specialists and 24-hour specialist consultation support. There are no on-call or after-hours shifts.

Practice Details
The hospital is a fast-paced, collaborative small animal practice offering both advanced and primary care. The state-of-the-art facility includes a dedicated dental suite with dental radiology, EMR, cold laser, ultrasound, digital radiology, EKG, Tonopen, an in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. Services include chemotherapy, cryosurgery, dermatology, laser surgery, orthopedic surgery, reproductive services, soft tissue surgery, allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dentistry, DNA breed testing, euthanasia services, health certificates, health exams, radiology, routine surgeries, spays and neuters. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

The hospital has 4 DVMs alongside a great tenured support team that includes credentialed technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. The team is dynamic, collaborative, and supportive, with mentorship and learning at the forefront of the working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
