Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a Fear Free-certified veterinary hospital providing primary and advanced care for cats and dogs. They are seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to join the practice on a full-time basis, working four shifts per week. The hospital combines advanced technology and facilities with a focus on high-quality medicine, compassionate patient care, and trusted client relationships.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will provide clinical leadership while delivering high-quality veterinary medicine across primary, preventive, dental, and advanced care. The role includes opportunities to utilize advanced dental radiology, digital radiology, cold laser therapy, Tonopen, and acupuncture while supporting effective pain management and post-operative recovery. The successful veterinarian will contribute to a collaborative environment through teaching, teamwork, and continued professional growth while building strong relationships with clients. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The Fear Free-certified hospital is equipped with dental radiology for full-mouth imaging, hands-free digital radiology, cold laser therapy, and Tonopen. Services include primary and preventive care, advanced dental care, advanced veterinary care, acupuncture, and cold laser therapy. The full-time schedule consists of four shifts per week, with hospital hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM–3:00 PM with rotating Saturday coverage, and Sunday closed.
Team
The hospital has four DVMs and more than ten support staff, including a great tenured support team. The environment emphasizes collaboration, teaching, teamwork, and continuous learning, with established team members who understand their roles and support one another in delivering high-quality patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
