Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for a Medical Director Veterinarian. This is a small animal general practice serving dogs and cats, offering a leadership opportunity within a well-established hospital focused on high-quality care and a collaborative team environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with every other Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership while delivering high-quality care across wellness and preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, urgent care, and internal medicine. You will be responsible for guiding the veterinary team, maintaining medical standards, and fostering a collaborative and supportive culture. This role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about both clinical excellence and team development within a busy general practice setting.

This is a well-established small animal hospital with over 40 years of service to the community and a strong reputation reflected in 125+ five-star reviews. The practice offers a full range of services including wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, dermatology, surgery, nutrition counseling, and pharmacy services. The hospital is equipped with digital X-ray, in-house lab diagnostics, and modern surgical and monitoring equipment. The culture is collaborative, mentorship-driven, and client-focused, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and respect.

Team
The team consists of 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
