Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Medical Director. Originally founded in the 1930s, this thriving small animal practice has been a trusted part of the South Bend community for generations, providing high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to lead a well-established hospital while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care within a collaborative clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of Medical Director responsibilities, combining clinical leadership with the delivery of high-quality veterinary care. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of patient care and client service while supporting the continued success of the hospital. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will provide preventative, medical, and surgical care, manage a varied companion animal caseload, and work closely with clients to develop treatment plans that promote the long-term health and wellbeing of their pets. The role offers a healthy work-life balance with no weekend hours. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian with outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks.

Practice Details
The practice provides the full scope of General Practice services alongside Urgent Care, offering a varied companion animal caseload. The hospital is equipped with, but not limited to, Digital Radiology, Ultrasound, an In-House Laboratory, and Electronic Medical Records, supporting advanced diagnostics and patient care. Facilities include a beautifully renovated facility completed in 2016, well-equipped surgical and treatment areas featuring the latest anesthetic and monitoring technology, and an In-House Pharmacy. In addition to its core veterinary services, the practice also provides Laser Therapy. The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 AM to 11:40 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
You will be joining a team that is home to three experienced veterinarians, supported by a dedicated support team and a loyal client base that values the personalized care they provide. The collaborative environment encourages teamwork and is focused on delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
