Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to join the team on a full-time basis. The hospital focuses on high-quality medicine, strong client relationships, and creating a supportive, team-focused clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will combine clinical practice with medical leadership, helping shape medical standards, mentor veterinarians, and contribute to the continued development of the hospital. The role offers autonomy to influence clinical standards while providing high-quality veterinary medicine across a varied caseload. Clinical services include wellness and preventive care, diagnostics and screening, dentistry, urgent care, surgery, geriatric and arthritis care, cancer screening and genetic testing, sports medicine, and post-operative recovery. Surgical procedures include scheduled mass removals, biopsies, spays, neuters, and minor urgent care procedures. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital provides services including wellness and preventive medicine, urgent care, diagnostics and screening, dentistry, surgery, cancer screening and genetic testing, geriatric and arthritis care, laser therapy, pharmacy services, sports medicine and post-operative recovery, and telemedicine. The surgical team is supported by licensed veterinary technicians and state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring. The hospital does not provide emergency surgery, blood transfusions, 24/7 ICU monitoring, or overnight post-operative care. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs and a great tenured support team, including licensed veterinary technicians and team members with surgical experience. The environment emphasizes collaboration, trust, communication, progressive medicine, thoughtful client communication, and a positive workplace culture, with the Medical Director taking an active role in mentoring doctors and supporting the medical team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
