Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team, working with dogs and cats. This is a leadership opportunity within a full-service companion animal practice, offering the chance to influence clinical standards while maintaining a strong focus on high-quality patient care and team collaboration.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will balance clinical responsibilities with leadership duties, guiding the medical direction of the hospital while delivering comprehensive veterinary care. You will oversee clinical quality, mentor and support the veterinary team, and foster a positive, collaborative culture. Clinical responsibilities include managing a variety of cases such as diagnostics, internal medicine, and surgical procedures, while ensuring strong client relationships through clear communication and education. You will play a key role in shaping workflows, supporting team development, and maintaining high standards of care. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
This is a full-service companion animal practice focused on dogs and cats, offering a wide range of services including preventative health and senior care, vaccinations, dental care, parasite prevention, dermatology, spay and neuter procedures, diagnostic imaging such as X-rays and ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and soft tissue surgery. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice emphasizes high-quality medicine, strong client relationships, and a supportive, team-first culture within a growing community setting.

The team consists of 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
