Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Medical Director position. This is a small animal general practice with an urgent care model, and the hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead medical care while supporting a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a full-time position. The role offers the variety of urgent care with no overnight or on-call shifts, providing a balanced schedule within extended daytime hours.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is open to experienced veterinarians only. Clinical responsibilities include delivering medical, surgical, and urgent care services, working within a general practice and urgent care setting. The Medical Director will practice hands-on medicine while building client trust through clear communication and education, supporting clinical standards, and contributing to a positive, professional, and collaborative hospital culture. The role includes working in a dedicated surgical suite with experienced technical support and maintaining high standards of patient care across preventive, diagnostic, and urgent cases.

Practice Details
The hospital has been providing quality veterinary care to its community for over 19 years and operates as a full-care facility with a strong focus on preventive medicine, affordable vaccinations, spay and neuter services, and dental care. Equipment and technology include digital full-body and dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, cold laser therapy, and laser cautery for soft tissue surgery. Services offered include puppy and kitten care, preventive health care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, dermatology, senior pet care, nutritional counseling, microchipping, pharmacy services, and shot clinics. The practice culture emphasizes compassion, teamwork, strong communication, and a patient-centric approach supported by skilled and dedicated staff.

Team
The hospital is currently supported by 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative environment with strong technical support, effective communication, and a shared commitment to high-quality care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
