Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in Cordova, Tennessee, and is seeking an experienced Medical Director to join the team on a full-time basis. The hospital offers a range of general practice services, with a strong focus on compassionate, individualized patient care. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian looking to combine clinical responsibilities with leadership, mentorship, and hospital development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will oversee clinical standards, support hospital performance, and work closely with the Practice Manager and leadership team. Responsibilities include mentoring associate veterinarians, supporting recruitment and retention, maintaining high standards of patient care, and contributing to operational decisions. Clinical duties involve wellness examinations, preventive medicine, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and emergency care. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian with strong clinical and leadership skills who can foster a positive, collaborative working environment.

Practice Details
The hospital provides wellness and sickness examinations, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, diagnostic testing, dentistry, and surgery. Additional services include spaying and neutering, general surgery, dental procedures, allergy testing, emergency care, and behavioral support. The hospital emphasizes personalized treatment and creating a comfortable experience for patients and clients. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
