Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a general practice hospital seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and is looking for an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership role within a well-established practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will combine clinical and leadership responsibilities, including delivering high-quality patient care through wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical procedures. The role involves establishing protocols, increasing medical standards, and supporting the growth of the practice. Responsibilities include client communication, mentoring team members, and ensuring excellent patient outcomes and client satisfaction. A strong interest in dentistry and oral surgery is preferred. This position is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and is closed on Sundays. It is a well-established and respected general practice offering a comprehensive range of services including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, diagnostics, and preventative care. The practice is equipped with in-house diagnostic capabilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and digital dental X-rays. Services also include geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, and a variety of surgical procedures such as soft tissue surgery, spay and neuter, mass removal, foreign body surgery, wound care, and dental surgery. The hospital works closely with a network of sister hospitals and emphasizes compassionate, high-quality care within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Team
The team consists of 1 DVM supported by a tenured support team, creating a close-knit and collaborative environment focused on delivering excellent patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
